Research topics
Areas of research:The Laboratory of Automatic Control and Chemical Engineering (LAGEP) is a mixed research unit (UMR CNRS 5007) under the co-supervision of Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and the CNRS. It is a multidisciplinary laboratory in sciences and technologies of information and imaging and in pharmacotechnical engineering. It endeavours to develop specific research in each of the scientific fields while being committed to excellence for its publications, international cooperation projects and integration of its PhD students. It also promotes transversal research within the organisation.
The Lagep has four 4 specific research teams, but gives priority to projects that foster collaboration:
- Pharmacotechnical engineering: formulation of encapsulation systems, physicochemistry, interaction with biological environments;
- Solid creation processes (PES): crystallisation-precipitation, drying, transfers combining matter and heat, solid phase transition, polymorphism;
- Non-linear systems and processes (SNLEP): theoretical development and implementation of tools to: analyse, model, simulate, control and optimise systems in process engineering.
- Process dynamics and control and conservation law systems (DYCOP): dynamic modelling in process engineering, bond graph models, Hamiltonian systems, conservation laws
